School life

     My name is… I live in Zaporozhye, it’s in the south-east of Ukraine. I’m …. years old and I’m a student. I study at school #31 and I’m in year six. Our school is located in the city center.  It was founded over eighty years ago. It is an old four storied building. There are a lot of classrooms here. They are spacy,  light and have all necessary equipment. We study a lot of different subjects, among them are: Ukrainian, English, German, French languages, Maths, History, Nature, Art. My favourite subject is ….. We have six or seven lessons every day.

 I remember my first school day. It was a sunny day. The school yard was full of adults and children. They were carrying beautiful flowers and were very happy. I had flowers, too, and I gave them to my first teacher. I had a new schoolbag with a lot of school items in it. My mother gave me a wooden pencil case for my first day at school. It was heavy, rectangular in shape and made of bright red-coloured wood. The lid of the box was shiny and covered with faded stickers. It fastened with a shiny golden clasp. Inside it was full of sharp pencils and clean new rubbers. It still reminds me of those carefree and innocent days of early childhood when simple things could bring so much pleasure.
